The Kick Project is an NGO with big ambitions. We use sport to develop peace and development for disadvantaged children worldwide.
We believe that the most sustainable and most resilient communities are built from the child up. As such, working with a community’s younger members helps empower communities to steer clear of violence, prejudice and poverty.
Football is our go-to sport, but we are not bound by that. Other sports can be just as effective, particularly in relation to getting girls involved.
Our basic template is to identify a community in need we feel we can work with. We then meet with community representatives and design a program that suits their needs and fits our mission.
Football is the world’s most popular sport, and our key program.
According to a 2006 survey by FIFA, there are around 270 million registered footballers and football officials in the world, accounting for 4% of the global population. In Australia alone there are 2 million registered players and who knows how many more casual players, fans, followers and “soccer Moms” involved in the game here and the world over. That’s a big market.
There are also the associative marketing benefits that can be utilised in relation to the world’s most popular sport and it’s leading personalities. Our sponsors will be working positively with children and youth worldwide, and will be seen as a philanthropic champion.
Supporters wishing to make a real difference as advocates for the disadvantaged will receive extraordinary brand exposure through our apparel range and extensive social media marketing campaigns.
Aside from the feel good factor, let’s face it, there is a cool factor here too.
Financial partners are specifically being sought to benefit from this opportunity. However all generous offers of inkind support and fundraising initiatives are welcomed.
